How Night & Day Came to be
Founded in 2012 by Amrit Singh Rai, Night and Day Recovery Society began with a vision of creating a place where individuals struggling with addiction could find compassionate, holistic support and the chance to rebuild their lives. Drawing from his own journey of recovery and deep commitment to helping others, Amrit sought to address the gaps in addiction treatment by combining evidence-based practices with cultural, spiritual, and community centred approaches.
What started as a single residential recovery house has grown into a network of six homes, including North America’s only fully licensed Punjabi treatment facility, designed to meet the diverse cultural and language needs of the community.
Night and Day Recovery embraces the 12-step model while integrating practices like meditation, yoga, nature walks, and cultural healing, including Indigenous and Sikh traditions, to address the multifaceted nature of addiction.
Since its founding, Night and Day Recovery has helped hundreds of individuals overcome addiction, reconnect with their families, and reclaim their place in the community. Today, our mission remains the same: to make recovery accessible, supportive, and transformative for every person seeking a path to healing.

We have a team of dedicated and compassionate professionals who are passionate about individuals on their path to recovery. Our team consists of licensed counsellors, addiction specialists, medical professionals, and support staff who work collaboratively to ensure the highest quality of care.
